January: often the month for shedding weight gained over Christmas. All those mince pies, Christmas puddings and roast turkey can take its toll.
People also prefer cosying away, with a hot drink and their favourite TV show, during the cold winter months- another factor that contributes towards weight gain. Not only that, the weather in January makes us feel tired and unmotivated. And since we don’t follow our usual routines during the festive season, it’s easy to enter January feeling less than great.
